The Shri Sital Das Jain (SSDJ) Foundation is a registered family trust, run with the family’s own funds and overseen by family members. It seeks no external funding — its support is paid directly to institutions, never as cash to students or families.
The Foundation exists to find brilliant young people held back by circumstance, and to give them the support and confidence to compete on equal terms. It was established with the following objectives:
To identify Keen, Ambitious, Brilliant, Learners (we call them KABiL) who may be deprived of their academic pursuit due to social, economic or other constraints — and to assist them with the financial support and mentoring they need.
To provide education, specialised coaching, tuition support and skills development so KABiLs can compete at par with their more endowed counterparts.
To create an online platform for KABiLs to interact with the SSDJ Foundation, mentors and other KABiLs.
To share success stories from KABiLs, offer general guidance relevant to learners, and publish Foundation activity reports.
To promote and participate in impactful programmes, including collaborations with other organisations who share similar goals.
To build long-term sustainability — good work ethics, a long-term vision, activity audits and an organisational structure that earns trust, respect and dedication from those who serve and those who are served.
KABiL stands for Keen, Ambitious, Brilliant, Learners — talented students from economically challenged families whose education is at risk for want of support. Because merit is measured on board-exam performance, a student is recognised as a KABiL from Class 10 onwards. Working since mid-2022 in and around Panipat, the Foundation selects KABiLs in two ways:
Our support for tuition continues through a student’s entire journey of studies in India, so long as they maintain good grades.
KABiLs from deprived backgrounds need more than fees. Through special programs built around the belief “Hum Kisi Se Kam Nahi”, the Foundation runs English-speaking courses and sport events where KABiLs interact freely with their more fortunate peers — with guided web browsing and outdoor explorations planned next.
Beyond fees, the Foundation invests in future-ready skills — spoken-English, AI and computer coding classes and other vocational training — so KABiLs build real, employable abilities and the confidence to stand on their own feet.
Talent is the lifeblood of a progressive society. When blessed with means, talented youth naturally flourish and rise to serve society under their own steam. However, when hidden within economically challenged families, brilliant minds often remain dormant or are lost entirely — not for a lack of ability, but for a lack of opportunity and support.
For over three decades, I have sought out and supported such hidden gems in a personal capacity. Witnessing these bright minds bloom against the odds has been my greatest satisfaction. Yet an individual search has its limits. To overcome those limits and build a lasting sanctuary for potential, the SSDJ Foundation was born.
To ensure deep, visible and measurable impact, the SSDJ Foundation focuses its efforts within the geography of Panipat. Funded entirely by our family’s own contributions, the Foundation is designed to endure for generations.

For every student selected, the Foundation provides comprehensive tuition support throughout their educational journey in India, conditional only on their maintaining good grades.
We have learned that students from deprived backgrounds need far more than financial aid — they need the bedrock of self-belief. Our mentorship programmes are built around a single, powerful conviction: “Hum Kisi Se Kam Nahi” — We are second to none.
We actively bridge the social divide through spoken-English modules, public-speaking workshops and other events where our scholars interact freely and confidently with their more fortunate peers. Looking ahead, we are establishing mixed-group initiatives focused on guided digital literacy, collaborative web exploration and outdoor learning experiences.
True empowerment means caring for the whole child and their environment. We have identified critical barriers that quietly undermine learning and self-esteem. The SSDJ Foundation currently provides free professional testing and fitting of eyeglasses and hearing aids, along with comprehensive dental care. We also plan motivational sessions and guidance to build self-esteem.
What we have built so far is only the beginning. The ultimate dream of the SSDJ Foundation is to bring a visionary leader on board — an individual with the professional skill, grand vision and relentless energy to elevate our impact into an inspiring blueprint. We want this model to be emulated, improved upon and replicated in regions far beyond Panipat.
